In the trade winds of space, there's a frightening face

He's plundered in every conceivable place
And he's probably plundered your mom

They called him a madman, they called him a fool
They spoke in disparaging tones
But he welcomed the fame, for they all knew his name
He was Mortimer Corazon

He may seem a dummy, but he was the scummiest
Pirate that ever there was
He'd steal from the rich, and he'd steal from the poor
And he'd steal from himself just because...

His deepest desire earned the pirate world's ire
For he wanted to rule as their king
They all wanted him dead, put a price on his head
They don't like that authority thing

He realized one day that he could get his way
With an army of android clones
And the next thing you know, there's a dozen or so
Of Mortimer Corazon

He hired Doc Altmann to make him the droids
and he said "It'll go on my tab"
You could certainly say that the doc was annoyed
When Mort took off and blew up his lab

Maria Castillo, his clone in disguise
Went to claim that she'd killed Corazon
Mort had told her to bring the reward back to him
But she planned just to call it her own.

And the real Mort just then met his untimely end
When he went out to gamble and cheat
He'd do this a lot, but this time he got shot
By a crazy card player named Pete.

So Mason, Maria, and old Crazy Pete
All showed up with a claim to the cash
And that was enough to make Jean just give up   (change this to something that rhymes?)
And none of the three got the stash

He betrayed all the others, his android clone brothers 
And revealed them to all Port Royale
And they all should have known that he too was a clone
But at this leap of logic they failed

He joined up with a ship and took Mortimer's loot
With the help of his new crew of pirates
And they stole the port's tachyon laser to boot
Though they didn't have power to fire it

Many years down the line, when the pirates decline
And the Corpus regime is long gone

For the pirate tradition lives on

And they follow this plan as they make their demands
That they won't claim the deed as their own
